Hi, my name is Kristen Baisley, and I’m a 23-year-old learning a ton about life. I have been married for 2 years (to the hunk in the photo to your left) and in those two years I have graduated college, moved, auditioned into grad school, moved again, become an aunt, and traveled in Europe. I am soaking in as much knowledge and experience as I can right now in my journey to save money and live a simple, healthy life.
The Story Behind “ThriftyMrsB”
ThriftyMrsB is a fun hobby for me. I want to share my ideas about saving, budgeting, recipes, and everyday life while learning from readers with the same interests. My goal is to share what I know and learn from connecting with you!
Money-saving, cooking, learning how to be a better wife to my handsome husband, and learning more about my Savior, Jesus Christ. If you’re interested in the same things, we should connect.
I’m a Norther hanging out in the South right now as I work on my graduate degree in Greenville, SC. While the South isn’t necessarily what I consider “home.” I love the heat and sunshine as well as the opportunity to live in a great city full of music and culture.
My Professional Goals
I have a B.S. degree in Music Education, and I’m currently pursuing a graduate degree in Choral Conducting. Someday, I’d like to teach in a public school and share my love for music with students. I am addicted to school and fully intend to continue my education after grad school.
I want learn how to be a better wife. I’m a newb at that too so it’s definitely a process. I want to love other people more and learn how to share what I know to help them. Someday I want to raise a family, but, for now, my husband and I are content to work like crazies and enjoy as much time with each other as possible.
I tend to be an type-A control freak with a heavy dose of sarcasm (friends can laugh here), so I’m just warning you now. I’ve always loved reading blogs, but I’m new to the writing side so bear with me while I get used to this whole blog deal. I love to laugh and develop connections with people. My family is very important to me, did I mention I have a cute new nephew?
Something people might not know about me until we’ve hung out is that I have an insane ability to remember movie quotes and feed them into conversations. It’s a family talent, and it probably all traces back to my dad. Normally it leaves people confused and trying the “smile and nod” approach to my random comments. We’ll see if I can keep my random quotes to myself. “Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow…”
